Vice President of Clinical Operations

Magi is the Vice President of Clinical Operations at Amana Healthcare. Magi qualified from the UK and obtained her MSc (Hon) in 2007 from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. She has spent over 20 years in healthcare in a variety of clinical and administrative settings within the UK and internationally. She has extensive experience in hospital administration, practice development and quality management. Magi has a keen interest in quality of life and palliative care.

Sally Ann Sodergren
Director of Clinical Operations – Al Ain

Sally is the Director of Clinical Operations at Amana Healthcare Long Term Medical and Rehabilitation Hospital in Al Ain. Sally obtained a degree in Registered General Nursing from the Charles Frears College of Nursing and Midwifery, UK in 1993 and later on obtained her Post Graduate Diploma in Children’s Nursing from South Bank University, London in 1996. She has extensive experience in all areas of Pediatrics and Neonatal Care having worked in different hospitals in New Zealand, UK and Middle East. Prior to working at Amana, Sally was working as a Nurse Manager in PICU/PECU in a JCIA (Joint Commission International Accreditation) accredited government hospital in Al Ain.

Deborah Pierce
Senior Physiotherapist & Team Leader – Al Ain

Deborah is a Senior Physiotherapist and the Head of Rehabilitation teams at Amana Healthcare. Deborah obtained a BSc in Health Science from Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. She has spent over 7 years in various acute care settings. Deborah has spent the last 3 years in the UAE as the team leader for critical care, acute neurology/neurosurgery, stroke and medical units within a JCIA (Joint Commission International Accreditation) accredited hospital.

Angela Lewis
Clinical Coordinator – Al Ain

Angela is a Clinical Coordinator at Amana Healthcare – Al Ain. She qualified in 1985 with a degree in General Nursing from Mid Glamorgan School of Nursing, UK and obtained her degree in Sick Children’s Nursing from Swansea University UK, in 1995. Then in 2009, she completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice from the University of Wales, Swansea University in UK. Angela has over 30 years of extensive experience in the field of Pediatric Nursing, and was the Pediatric Lead Nurse in one of the NHS hospitals in the UK before joining Amana Healthcare.

Hazem Ahmad Owais
Quality Coordinator – Al Ain

Hazem is the Quality Coordinator at Amana Healthcare, Al Ain. Hazem qualified in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Jordan. Then in 2013, he obtained his certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and in 2014 completed his Masters in Quality Management from the University of Wollongong in Dubai. Hazem started his career as a Registered Nurse in Jordan before moving to the UAE where he had an opportunity to work as an Acting Charge Nurse/Quality Link Nurse in a government hospital in Abu Dhabi and later on as a Nursing Supervisor in a private hospital in Dubai. Prior to joining Amana, Hazem was the Quality Improvement Officer in a government hospital in Ras Al Khaimah.

Dyen Manahan
HR Coordinator – Al Ain

Dyen is Human Resource Coordinator at Amana Healthcare. She obtained her primary degree in Business Administration from the University of The Philippines in 2003. Dyen has held a senior HR position for several years and has gained considerable HR and recruitment experience within the UAE.
