Sally Ann Sodergren
Director of Clinical Operations – Al Ain

Sally is the Director of Clinical Operations at Amana Healthcare Long Term Medical and Rehabilitation Hospital in Al Ain. Sally obtained a degree in Registered General Nursing from the Charles Frears College of Nursing and Midwifery, UK in 1993 and later on obtained her Post Graduate Diploma in Children’s Nursing from South Bank University, London in 1996. She has extensive experience in all areas of Pediatrics and Neonatal Care having worked in different hospitals in New Zealand, UK and Middle East. Prior to working at Amana, Sally was working as a Nurse Manager in PICU/PECU in a JCIA (Joint Commission International Accreditation) accredited government hospital in Al Ain.

Claudia Soares
Director of Clinical Operations – Abu Dhabi

Claudia is the Director of Clinical Operations of Amana Healthcare in Abu Dhabi. Claudia obtained a degree in General Nursing from the Nursing College of Viana do Costela, Portugal in 2007. she then completed her MBA in Management Consulting from London School of Business & Finance in 2017 and successfully obtained a certificate in Business, International Relations and Political Economy in January 2018. Claudia’s 11 years of professional practice includes cardiothoracic intensive care in Spain and in UK and five years’ experience at Amana Healthcare in Long Term Care and Rehabilitation that molded her managerial qualification.

Deborah Pierce
Senior Physiotherapist & Team Leader – Al Ain

Deborah is a Senior Physiotherapist and the Head of Rehabilitation teams at Amana Healthcare. Deborah obtained a BSc in Health Science from Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. She has spent over 7 years in various acute care settings. Deborah has spent the last 3 years in the UAE as the team leader for critical care, acute neurology/neurosurgery, stroke and medical units within a JCIA (Joint Commission International Accreditation) accredited hospital.

Nadine Angela De Clercq Rehabilitation Team Leader – Al Ain

Nadine is the Rehabilitation Team Leader at Amana Healthcare – Al Ain. She was conferred with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Ghent in Belgium in 1996 with national recognition for her thesis. Her early career was spent developing her skills as a Chartered Physiotherapist, becoming involved in Rehabilitation, General Practice, Sports injury and Geriatric care. She began to specialize in the treatment of people with a neuro-disability in a clinical care setting in the late ‘90s and her work in disability led to the introduction of the Bobath concept to the centre, qualifying as a Bobath Assistant Tutor in 2011 and specializing in Gait Analysis Practitioner in 2013. She became the Head of the Physical Therapy Department in a tertiary referral hospital in Dammam, KSA in 2012 where she introduced many new initiatives and work practices. She strongly advocated for combined pathways of care in the interest of the patient, which helped the growth and recognition of the department with specialized care pathways.

Angela Lewis
Clinical Coordinator – Al Ain

Angela is a Clinical Coordinator at Amana Healthcare – Al Ain. She qualified in 1985 with a degree in General Nursing from Mid Glamorgan School of Nursing, UK and obtained her degree in Sick Children’s Nursing from Swansea University UK, in 1995. Then in 2009, she completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice from the University of Wales, Swansea University in UK. Angela has over 30 years of extensive experience in the field of Pediatric Nursing, and was the Pediatric Lead Nurse in one of the NHS hospitals in the UK before joining Amana Healthcare.

Hilary Lynne Twiggs Education Coordinator – Al Ain

Hilary is the Education Coordinator at Amana Healthcare – Al Ain. Hilary qualified in 1989 with a Diploma in Nursing Science (General, Psychiatry, Community Health and Midwifery) from Carinus Nursing College in South Africa. Hilary has obtained two Post Graduate Diplomas in Nursing (Cum Laude) from Stellenbosch University: Health Assessment, Treatment and Care in 2008 and Nursing Education in 2009. She has an extensive experience in health professional education in a variety of settings from a tertiary institution in South Africa to non-governmental organizations in South Africa and to a private healthcare corporation in the Middle East.

Jemma Tarr
Clinical Coordinator – Abu Dhabi

Jemma is the Clinical Coordinator at Amana Healthcare – Abu Dhabi. Jemma obtained her BSC Honors Degree in Nursing from the University of Wales in 2007. Jemma has gained extensive experience working as a junior sister within Intensive Care in the National Health Service.

Joyce Jenkins
Quality Coordinator – Abu Dhabi

Joyce is a Quality Coordinator in Abu Dhabi with more than 20 years of experience in nursing profession. She graduated in South Africa as a General Midwife, Nursing Educator and a Nurse Administrator. She diverted from Nursing 8 years ago to pursue a career in Quality and Patient Safety. She obtained her Masters in Quality from Robert Gordon University in Scotland. Joyce has extensive experience in Patient Safety, Quality Improvement, Risk Management and JCI Accreditation.

Dyen Manahan
HR Coordinator – Al Ain

Dyen is Human Resource Coordinator at Amana Healthcare. She obtained her primary degree in Business Administration from the University of The Philippines in 2003. Dyen has held a senior HR position for several years and has gained considerable HR and recruitment experience within the UAE.
