About Amana Healthcare

Amana Healthcare is a specialized provider of long-term acute care, post-acute rehabilitation, home transition care and respite care services. Headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, Amana Healthcare currently operates two hospitals – a long-term care hospital for medically complex patients in Al Ain and the first specialized inpatient rehabilitation hospital in the UAE in Abu Dhabi. Amana Healthcare is the only CARF accredited private rehabilitation hospital in the Middle East.

Amana Healthcare has received the highest accreditation outcome of three years by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (“CARF“) and accreditation as a Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program for Adults and for Children and Adolescents. This makes Amana Healthcare the only CARF-accredited specialized rehabilitation hospital in the United Arab Emirates; the only CARF-accredited facility in the United Arab Emirates; and the only private rehabilitation hospital with CARF accreditation in the Middle East.

CARF accreditation–widely acknowledged as the global gold standard in accreditation of rehabilitation facilities and the standard held by top-ranked rehabilitation hospitals in America, Europe and Asia–assists service providers to improve the quality of their services and meet internationally-recognized standards while providing a mark of assurance to consumers.  CARF accreditation also provides a signal to payers that CARF-accredited providers strive to deliver higher quality services, achieve better outcomes, deliver more efficient care and have lower risk.


Amana Healthcare has received accreditation from Joint Commission International (JCI), the worldwide leader in improving the quality of healthcare. JCI’s on-site evaluation of Amana Healthcare was conducted by a team of international health care experts including doctors, nurses and administrators. Obtaining JCI accreditation validates the commitment of the entire Amana Healthcare team – including Amana’s specialist physicians, nurses, therapy staff and administrators – to ensure that every aspect of care at Amana meets or exceeds international standards of quality and excellence

During the evaluation, Amana Healthcare presented several innovations to the JCI team including the GCC’s first dedicated in-hospital special education program and a far-reaching social integration and quality of life program for medically complex patients.
